Hi, My Name’s Marissa (some people call me Maurice, which ain’t even a joke).

I’m your radically honest, fun-loving, rule-breaking brand coach.

(Okay—not rules exactly, but the endless advice from everyone who supposedly knew better.)

“Follow these content pillars.”
”Use this exact messaging to attract premium clients.”
”Speak to pain points.”
”Actually, no—don’t. That attracts victims.”

From 2017 to 2024, I didn’t ask questions. I just did what I was told.
And sure, things kinda worked.

My following was growing… slowly.
Sales were trickling in… sometimes.
I was keeping up… kind of.

For years, I followed the “rules.”

Until one day, I hit a breaking point.

I almost gave up coaching completely and pivoted to running a cat-themed print-on-demand store. (And honestly? It slapped.)

But what I realized in that moment was this:

I had completely lost myself in the process of building my business.

My voice was nowhere to be found.
My personality was buried under high-converting templates.
My visuals looked like every other coach out there.

I wasn’t leading. I was performing.
Trying to “look the part” instead of being who I am.

And it was exhausting.
Fake.
Totally unsustainable..

So, I burned the rulebook.

I got radically honest about what makes me unique.
I reclaimed my voice.
I reconnected to what I love about myself.
And I gave myself permission to show up fully me—even when it didn’t fit the mold.

I put fun at the forefront.
I stopped waiting for happiness to come “after I hit the next goal.”
I realized: this is the life. This is the business. And I want it to feel good now, not someday.

Because happiness isn’t some gold star you earn when you finally make a million dollars.
It’s not reserved for “after” you’ve figured it all out.
Happiness is the damn point.

And that’s how the Main Character Method was born.

The Main Character Method

The Main Character Method

The Main Character Method is where everything changed for me—and now, it’s how I help my clients change everything too.

It’s not a gimmick.
It’s not “just be yourself!” energy with no direction.

It’s a deep unraveling of everything you’ve been told you should be.
It’s a bold reclamation of your voice, energy, essence, and expression.
It’s about making you the center of your brand—not a version of you that fits someone else’s mold.

Because when your brand is built around who you are—your quirks, your values, your humor, your big vision—you stop trying to be relatable… and start becoming irresistible.

It’s identity. It’s alignment. It’s energy.
And when you’re tapped into all three?
You become a magnet.

Your content hits different.
Your people feel you.
And your offers sell with ease—because they’re built on truth, not performance.

My Mission is Simple:

To help women build brands that feel like themselves.

Not just brands that look polished on the outside, but brands that feel fun, alive, and aligned on the inside.

I believe the most powerful strategy isn’t about finding the right script or sticking to someone else’s blueprint. It’s about learning to trust yourself. To know yourself. To create from that place.

Because when your business is rooted in your joy, your truth, and your energy?

It becomes sustainable.
It becomes fulfilling.
It becomes magnetic.

Not in some distant future—but now.

Random Tid-Bits for Your Enjoyment

  • I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart. One of my earliest business endeavors? Selling magazine posters I didn’t want in the 5th grade (first customer complaint was that the staple holes were too big).

  • My ideal Friday night? Downing a couple Tito’s 7UPs and singing Shania Twain karaoke at the local dive bar.

  • I’m hooked on lake life. If I’m not glued to my laptop you can find me out on the pontoon, floatin’ with the neighbors, or even bundled up in an ice house.

  • I’ve got a husband and two Siamese mix cats that I’m obsessed with. Alex and I spent 4 years in Colorado where we trained our cats to hike with us, and even started an IG about it. #crazycatpeople
